Well, 115. And 190k wet plus 80k of me.

Don't get me wrong, it's didn't do a grand national winner on me, but it wasn't neck and neck.

edit:

So I have 0.44bhp/kg
GTR is 0.27bhp/kg

Based on 480hp/1730kgs

Just goes to show power to weight isn't the be all and end all.

They have a hell of a lot of torque too, and all manner of systems to improve traction/get the power down.

Edit: You switch it to manual and use the flappy paddle gearbox. It's quicker than a normal box

i thought the R35 changed gear quicker than someone could manually? even with the flappy paddal?

lots of Torque moves a heavy car, not so much the bhp figure.

Can't see it living with a Busa tbh.

EDIT - GT-R wouldn't stand a chance by the time it gets to 100 the Busa's getting close to 150.

Yes.

As your tyre smoke clears, the GT will clear the 1/4 mile

They're awesome cars, one cruised past me the other day on the motorway and as it's wheels rotated you got a perfect view of the massive brake calipers and discs. Such good looking cars.

had my fair share of playing with bikes (bikers seem to love cars that can keep up/overtake them) and 600cc's are not that much of an issue. R6 etc

the guys on the 1000's i just cant hang with yet :/
Get yourself down to the excel arena on a staurday night dude. Then you can play with plenty of cars including the new gtr. Last saturday I saw the GTR go head to head with a modded pulsar. The pulsar had it until just the end when the gtr took it. Both quick cars.

Tim, I just think he caught you out. You should be hitting 60 in 4 seconds on your bike and 100 not much after. I can't believe they are that quick?

0-60 in 3.2 secs. According to Nissan specs

I wasn't pinned. Maybe he's had some work done, who knows....

the amount of wheels driven doesnt have much to do with it?

RWD cars of the same power are often faster than 4WD vehicles as less power is lost in transmission.

Not from a standing start, 4WD cars will have much better traction there.

Sorry but that isnt totally true. if youve got enough power the front isnt even touching the ground. lots of drag cars have very skinny wheels at the front.

I thought you might bring drag cars as an example. They are quite special though, so as NOT to break traction; with normal cars what I wrote above stands. The problem in (most) 2WD cars is that traction is broken/lost when accelerating in full throttle (from a standstill), thus you lose time spinning the tyres. This rarely happens in 4WD, and if it does, we're talking about massive power figures. Or completely bald tyres.

what do you class as massive? any street car on street legal tyres with enough power will spin up on full throttle. ive driven a 800bhp skyline, it spins fourth in the dry on all 4 wheels. lots of lesser power skylines spin up 4 wheels on launch, its all about launching revs.

its all setup dependant. however if the setups were the same 4wd will launch (not accelerate) quicker than a RWD.

when i mean same i mean exactly same tyre sizes/weight ratio/everything.

ive seen a lot of supras launch quicker than GTR skylines.
