CAD data translation... CATIA v4, v5 and NX4

A shot in the dark really, but I thought someone might be able to help...

I have a bunch of CATIA v4 model files (.model) which were opened up in v5 and the assembly has been saved as a v5 assembly (.CATProduct).

I'm trying to translate them to NX4. NX4 has both a CATIA v4 and a CATIA v5 translator built into it, and i'm able to convert and open the files fine. However they don't have location information and are just sat on 0,0,0.

If I try to import the assembly file using the v5 translator, it doesn't seem to recognise the v4 model files, and the v4 translator doesn't recognise the v5 assembly file.

Any ideas? Can I save the assembly as a "v4 assembly file" of some sort in CATIA v5? Or maybe save the parts as a v5 part. Or are there other translators that will convert the data? I'm trying to avoid IGES etc as i'd like to keep all the information!!
