At least is wasn't a Fabia VRS or a bloody BMW...

The good thing is, when you do try and drive it on a mildly damp road and stuff it into a ditch, you can just go get the Shogun to pull it out again!

no install planned for this car.. install is staying in the shogun.. might possibly move the satnav over, but that means il have to worry about two cars

yeah true.. always wanted an M3, but apart from the fact that it has less power and i have to tell people i drive a Nissan its a lot rarer than an M3 in east london!! which is good

200sx's can be pretty lairy in the wet. So be careful if you haven't driven a RWD car before. This is also the reason why they cost so much to insure.

Got anymore mods planned?
i actually wanted a cream interior as it seems to hide its age better, but i've come round to the fact that black leather suits a black car better i guess..

i'm looking forward to the tale happy'ness!hehe technically the shogun is rwd, and i've had the backend step out on me in that (very scarey as it was unintentional) but it wont be the same thing as in the nissan i guess

no more mods planned, insurance is steep as it is, but maybe in the distant future..

i'm not usually a fan of gold/bronze alloys, but they really do set off a black car are they that rare then?

i saw a few W reg ones, but they were autos would have been nice to get a later spec car though

8 previous owners did concern me, but it seems to check out will find out when it falls apart on the way home from picking it up

Love the wheels.

Dump valve has been removed for wastegate chatter
While its probably not done much harm. I would look to get an aftermarket dump valve, Recirc or VTA. If you like the chatter, you can adjust them so they chatter below say 0.3 bar then dump anything over, otherwise it will shorten the life of the turbo somewhat and there will be a drop in performance.

I have to agree insurance groups are not the be all and end all.

And @ Benny

I'm more worried by the fact that i kinda like the noise it makes and will end up keeping it like that and killing the turbo! but he will be providing the stock DV so i have the choice to put it back in if needed

cheers for the comments guys

ps. the audio is getting ripped out! me with a Mac audio sub? yeh right!

not really, those t28's take it fine, its only the new ball bearing turbos that cant handle it.

ad it decreases performance to have a dump valve. think about it, accelerate, release accelerator, dump valve goes off, accelerate, turbo has to spool up again

i'm starting to like the big bore ricer ones

but the mongoose seems like a nice compromise.. and if you beleive the hype about the airfilter and the exhaust it should give me a 20-30hp increase!?

Yes genuine Nismo alloys are pretty rare, they are something like £1400 with no import/VAT duty & no tyres! Make sure you have some locking wheel nuts

I wouldn't worry too much about 8 owners if it checks out ok, a lot of people buy cars like these & realise they cant afford to run them due to expense & practicallity etc.

If you are after some tuning parts like exhausts check out some of the jap import websites, I have used www.nengun.com a few times in the past & always had good service. Will probably still work out cheaper than buying over here even if you get charged duty
