Old Alpine vs New Kenwood
Bought a Kenwood kdc-6047u. On paper, the specs are amazing, there are settings that seem to never end and the ability to play cds plus the back usb support is amazing for its price tag. In real life, after installed, the sound is extremely detailed but it seems dull even after some tweaking with the eq and the settings. My infinitys 6500cs doesnt sound the same...
Previously i had an Alpine CDA-7832R with the 604 changer. Even with its max 4x35 amp the sound is more warm and the midbass has more attack. I like its design, simplicity and sq.... but it doesnt have mp3 and time alignment.
Is there anyone that can change my mind that an old alpine is better in sq than a new 21st century kenwood? I can return the kenny to the store and have the refund of the money.
Sq wise, the modern age kenwood or my old trusty alpine? Or even better, a new kenwood or an alpine 9855 that i can get my hands on?
