Car: Ford Fiesta 2000
System: Directed 250 amp powering Rainbow Pros, Directed 400 for IDMAX10
Music: Tracy Chapman-esque stuff, Wooseys Bass CD, Hip Hop, Rock, you name it

Well as you may or may not know I have had temporary use of an IDMAX10. Some of you sawheard it at T9.

This was lent to me to tide me over and was not designed to work with the Directed 400 - infact it is currently wired to 8ohm  and it is getting somewhere in the region of 200w rms.

I am well impressed with what this sub can do with only 200w, proving how efficient it is. The volume was very good, although you just knew it was craving more.

It really did feel like a sub that wanted to kick the sh1t out of my car, glad I didnt have 1kw to give it as the car was rattling plenty!!!

It is running sealed in a 1cu ft box (with perspex window and washers stuck to magnet - TB3's installation not mine :p ) and running sealed I didnt expect much low end.

Wrong! Some of the test tunes on Wooseys Bass CD really did drop and the sub handled them all well. No lag, just clean tight bass. Volume did drop off but thats to be expected with that amount of power.

Playing tracey chapman the sub really did calm itself down and blended well with the front end, sounding much warmer and less like a little rabbit on heat :D

When I mentioned I had this to people they said I wouldnt be able to give it back. I can, but only cause Matt knows where I live and looks like he can put up a good fight :D

Overall: 9.9 out of 10!!

What would of made you give it 10/10?

An IDMAX 10 sounds like a rabbit on heat?

You've got some bloody strange (and loud!) rabbits round your way Joe :D

Well I thought that fair cause I havent actually used it with its correct power ratings so it might not live up to the expectation.

Letting me keep it would also make it a 10 :D

I had no idea that was your car :wow: I had a little peek in the boot and saw it pounding away, heard you (or someone with you) mention how it was wired to 8ohm and getting barely any power!

Looked might impressive - could feel the bass with the boot open. Bibbys 12" is absolutely awesome too...

cswice... very little :)

If you hunt out the IDMAX Tour thread (in this Forum) you can see the reviews it got. 100RMS will get it shifting and sounding great but it'll be happy with 1kW+ anyway.
