Blade 15-03-2004, 12:29 PM Pretty new into the country these, so i'm not sure how many unbias reviews/opinions you'll find... Harry Bo 15-03-2004, 06:13 PM Puggie has one of the 4ch US Amps tubes, I think he may be buying a 2ch as well? Not sure but either way I'm sure his opinion would be useful :) HB miamivice 16-03-2004, 09:57 AM adamr6 has one of the tube amps, i think its the tu-600 and he loves it (i think!) lol :) Dean A 17-03-2004, 03:09 PM Yeh, I have seen and played with AdamR6's... Feels solid enough, not sure I really like the finish, but it definately looks the part ;) As for SQ, well it's faultless - very powerful too at 180wrms I think? Really pushed his ADS comps to the limit and there was no sign of distortion either, effortless power. Apparently get better the warmer the amps get too :) Go for it mate :D VD 17-03-2004, 03:57 PM I have one. I love it. Obviously ;) It impressed me greatly though i must say. Yeah, about 220 clean per channel is not a biggie at 4 ohms - more at 2 ohms - it has the USA600x power section to it! However it has a gain which can be fully minimised so you can run it with about 10v RMS input if you so desired, which is also very useful for those of you running horns. best place to ask would be on elitecaraudio, or in the amp section on termpro as there are users on there. US Amps dont really bother with sending stuff out for reviews anymore, they seem quite happy letting people come to them to buy stuff. Snowie will have one very soon, also paulMX3 has one and is very impressed with it. It uses Sovtek tubes as well which is nice. I also know a couple of the team ID boys are really happy with theirs. Only 1 other thing to note - i havent found anyone to say anything bad about the amps except styling wise which is fine. I have inverted mine anyway - and after 2 hours last night it was still really cool ;) Price list is up at www.usamps.co.uk mitulparmar787 17-03-2004, 04:08 PM Vandave: The link don't work :(. VD 17-03-2004, 04:11 PM it does now. i am currently writing an interactive site in flash so we are a bit transitional ;) Kaedyn 17-03-2004, 05:37 PM Thanks VD, just want to ask if u have changed the website recently, because the prices have changed...lol. Also, wen u say inverted, r u saying that u took the top off! Finally i know there very underated but is it to safe to say the five out about 350 watts per channel at two ohms. I was considering it for my ID comps. Andy@React 17-03-2004, 06:22 PM most (or ALL?) USamps come with a perspex bottom! :) Andrew DUB 17-03-2004, 07:50 PM i really love mine and its the best amp i have purchased in my car audio life so far. i really am a passive type of person so therefore the clean power at 4ohms was essiatial and tbh i wont be changing the amp for my fronts for a very long time. i like the styling tbh its not every ones cup of tea but i like it. for the money u wont by better in my opinion the choice is urs another note is they have such warmth i think as well its also helped a bit of midbass previous amps had lacked but it may just be me |
