View Full Version : Why are RE series subs all D4?

Well?!

I can understand that people might want a pair of the RE8's but why are the 10 and 12 only available as 4 ohm DVC?

Surely most people buying subs in that price range will want to run them off a 2 or 4 channel amp, particulally as they're only rated at 175w RMS so wouldn't it make more sense to have them so they can be run at 4 ohm??

US Amps X series, 2 ohm stable bridged ;)

If I was looking at them I'd just go and buy an RF or JL instead! If you buy 2 you're into SE territory and you'd need about 400w to drive them.

but the usa series are. they make the same power as the x but at 2 ohm bridged not 4 :p :p

Tell me - you got your babies up and running yet? That is going to be something special - just keep the gains LOOOWWWW - theres about 5KW there for your disposal ;)
