We may be a dubious looking bunch of foul-minded perverts and miscreants, but I'd like to think we're not quite at that level of sheer geekiness!

7:15PM. We will walk, with our ad hoc name tags, to our regular Stammtisch location. Where the Holiday party, the raffle, the fun will take place. TGI Friday's, 56th Street & Lexington Avenue, 2nd floor. Northeast corner.
7:30PM till 9:30PM food and beverages will be served.

Oh My God. Two hours of "Food and beverages". These guys sure know how to party...:shake:

Oh My God, this gets better...it seems they have something called "Stammtisc", which is a regular table in TGI Friday's. The next time they're there, they are having a "Key Signing" (I shít you not...)

This is what is entailed in the "Key Signing" activity...

Its spelled "Stammtisch" and its like a small club or group that will meet on a regular basis at a specific pub on the same table, get hammered and discuss their particular fetish (which in our case would be the size of our woofers :p ;) :D )

I hope they don't find out about us having a go at them, they're probably trying to break in now to the whopper (cad server  ) aka Wargames to bring us down and turn us all into linux penguins

I can see it now...they all come over to T19 and unleasy fury upon me, noting my mild discomfort as I am assaulted by a barrage of girly punches and toe-punts.

I think the "key signing" thing is something to do with a public key cryptography system. A normal enough activity in its own right, but not something I would want to do while sitting in a restaurant...

I have a "Stammtisch" in the stout house. Every Friday, myself any my mate sit at the same table, drinking heavily and talking shíte at each other. However, I refuse to put into use a word that I first noticed on a Linux usergroup homepage. That just feels wrong.

Hahah, exactly.

I may be pretty damn geeky but I don't sit around exchanging keys with people for fun ;)

These people need more beer and less Linux...
