Blade 17-02-2004, 10:09 PM Direct-Connect... It rules! :D Retepetsir 17-02-2004, 11:01 PM I'm just setting up DC++, but which are the best servers to go for? Cheers Bibby 17-02-2004, 11:28 PM You'll find me in dutch.kicks-ass.org leevets 17-02-2004, 11:36 PM where do i get dc++ from? Retepetsir 17-02-2004, 11:45 PM search on like everyone else! :shake: Stuie 18-02-2004, 12:21 AM I use bit torrent you can get nearly everything off there Rockford 18-02-2004, 12:24 AM For the lazy bleeders amongst us: http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/ Wicked666 18-02-2004, 12:26 AM i love winMX as can download same file of lots of people so get it in no time at all and can start and stop whenever and go back to it at a later date. Geoff@BBG 18-02-2004, 03:40 AM im using Shareaza which has been succesfull for me. http://www.shareaza.com/ MrP 18-02-2004, 03:54 AM emule/edonkey for me :D Retepetsir 18-02-2004, 04:26 AM Emule/EDonkey I am using a lot now! I use Overnet to access the network. You can then use things called Ed2k links (direct links on websites) which will put the file straight into Overnet for download. Checkout: http://www.shareconnector.com http://www.sharereactor.com http://www.bucktv.net http://www.filedonkey.com as some examples of what I'm talking about! Enjoy  eyebeefa 18-02-2004, 04:35 AM another vote for shareaza here mbh69 20-02-2004, 07:43 PM i got dc++ but don't no how to use it kazaa i use alot and another think it begins with a D but can't remember might have to try a few new ones then Dicky 22-02-2004, 12:34 AM I use Soulseek.....and it's brilliant. Very small download......no advertising/popups, and it's free! Anyone else use it?? I have dial-up and it's a lot faster than Kazaa etc. leevets 23-02-2004, 03:43 PM i downloaded shareaza yesterday and have found it much better than kazza Benny 23-02-2004, 04:49 PM Shareaza...Kazaa...Bit Torrent... Not tried DC++ though - might give that a go later on. Are there criteria you need to fulfil before you can attach to a server though? Obviously I don't give too much of a damn about music here...:D B |
