People that have heard them i would like your opinions on how the PG elite components compare to the like of the new kids out there like

Genesis absolute
Alpine F#1s
Focal TLRs/audiom/midbass
Rainbow platinums
SEAS Lotus.

Im especially interested in peoples opinion of the sound of the PG demo car with the 3ways in.

Thanks
Geoff.

PS guys im not sure if this is in the right section if not please move it.

bbg demo car sounds good

had a listen a while ago and was quite impressed i know of a couple of cars which are gonna be using the ti elites this year in competition and have allready heard good reports
the bbg demo car sounds miles better than the current focal demo car
which doesnt do the speakers much justice to be honest
the older one sounded way better
the genesis demo car sounds great (whenever gary has it all in one piece)
the alpine demo car needed a good set up last time i listened
last car i heard with rainbow speakers was gans and this also needed a few tweaks here and there to get things right

Are we talking about the PG A4 demo built by SQ+ ?

If so then I'd agree that it sounds better than the Focal car. I was told the Focal car wasn't up to much though...

the old a4 has been retired im afraid
but went to a very good home
this is the one with the w7,s and the co-ax,s in the back shelf
this is the car that sq+ built for bbg

the new car is similar but differant
have a listen yourselves to see what you think

the new focal demo car is not up to much in my opinion
but the old one ( silver bora)(steve traynor) was absolubtedly sweet

Geoff, you didn't mention Rainbow Refs?

Well having heard F#1s and Rainbow Refs.. F#1s for me :)

Lotus Seas and Plats sound pretty similar.. plats being smoother imo.

Nath,
Thanks for the replys, how would you compare the tonality and detail of the PG demo car to your own last year focal setup?

Am,
I don't think many people here have heard the refs as far as i know theres only one set in the UK.

each has good and bad points you need to decide which you personally prefer
me i personally still prefer the sound of the focals

im using the focal utopia audioms again this year
after this year im gonna re-evaluate and see what else is out on the market and see if there is any advance
im hoping to be one of the first people to get the new focal
tweeters (berillium)which will be out soon but im not holding my breath

Thanks Nath,
I am going to get my ass to the soundoffs this year to try and get to listen to as many different speaker and setups as i can, and this may help me decide what i want to use for my new front end.
The reason i asked you was you have had the Opportunity to hear many top quality and tuned systems with many different speaker setups in your travels as a sound quality judge.
So thank you for your replys.
