ive just downloaded a .AVI file, and windows media player says there is an codec error...

what can i do to fix it, or another program that plays .AVI's ?!?!

just says sending request for codec, downloading codec, error downloading codec... :(

ah, ******, try downlaoding a program called gspot this will examine the video file and tell you what codecs are needed http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ then punch the codec you need to downlaod into a seach engine, find it downlaod it, re-boot

go to http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divxcodec.html and downlaod the divx codec

should play then
