Your Internet port 139 does not appear to exist!
One or more ports on this system are operating in FULL STEALTH MODE! Standard Internet behavior requires port connection attempts to be answered with a success or refusal response. Therefore, only an attempt to connect to a nonexistent computer results in no response of either kind. But YOUR computer has DELIBERATELY CHOSEN NOT TO RESPOND (that's very cool!) which represents advanced computer and port stealthing capabilities. A machine configured in this fashion is well hardened to Internet NetBIOS attack and intrusion.

Unable to connect with NetBIOS to your computer.
All attempts to get any information from your computer have FAILED. (This is very uncommon for a Windows networking-based PC.) Relative to vulnerabilities from Windows networking, this computer appears to be VERY SECURE since it is NOT exposing ANY of its internal NetBIOS networking protocol over the Internet.

Yeah my comp is tighter than a gnats muff :D

i run the grc check every few weeks just to keep zonealarm on its toes (helpefully should be replacing it for a dedicated smoothwall machine when i get my netwrk sorted)

that is a handy site, my computer was open to everything. I constantly failed the tests but now I disabled netbios over tcp/ip and also got my firewall up and running, i passed the test with all ports closed and a full stealth system which i am happy about.

worrying to think how vulnerable things are...

You can also use http://www.mynetwatchman.com/kb/winpopup.asp and http://www.pcflank.com to test other vunerabilities.

Hehehe... :D

I find http://www.securityspace.com/dns/index.html better for mee. :)

GOt some odd results... According to Sheilds Up and PCFlank, port 21 is not stealthed but is closed. Seeing as I'm using NAT on my router, all my ports should be stealth. Unless they are giving false results to make you buy products they tout. I even removed Tiny Firewall and got the same results (hardly surprising...).

Plus point though was I "upgraded" to Kerio firewall. Excellent bit of software for free! Got popup blocker, messenger spam blockers and ad blockers. Visiting sites, now you can see in the log all the hidden adware stuff being blocked. :D
