Matt 02-02-2004, 02:51 AM hehe, I want I want I want :D I would prefer a smaller foot print, but what an amp :) I may not be a fan of some of the Blade Ice gear, but my god Am's got some quality there :D Rambino 02-02-2004, 03:05 AM Well I've got a Hammer and its the dogs genitals it's also one of the smallest amps they make samhain 02-02-2004, 03:26 AM Jesus, I love my T-03, it's an incredible piece of kit, but this Class A looks unbelievable. 15% efficiency on Class A, that's unbelievable. How does that rate with other Class A's ? Would this amp be a huge drain on electrical systems ? and would it run all day without any problems ? boring tdi 02-02-2004, 04:01 AM ok to fund one of these i have the following for sale: 2X arm 2X leg 1X kidney 1X lung 1X family (including 1 brother, 2 parents, 4 grandparents and i'll throw in a pet of your choice) - very good example, little use, only one of its kind open to realistic offers i want 1, i want 1, i want 1    Mr Singh 02-02-2004, 08:24 PM Jesus, I love my T-03, it's an incredible piece of kit, but this Class A looks unbelievable. 15% efficiency on Class A, that's unbelievable. How does that rate with other Class A's ? Would this amp be a huge drain on electrical systems ? and would it run all day without any problems ? Good questions, not one i can answer as my background on Class A amps is little hazy :o Kaedyn 02-02-2004, 08:31 PM looks gorgoeus...but i think tryin to save for a deposit on a house is slightly more appropriate...lol black-cat 02-02-2004, 08:49 PM Class A outputs are always dire efficiency. They either dump the power into the case or into the load, the current requirements do not change much with input signal. 15% is not bad. VD 02-02-2004, 10:12 PM indeed. the harder you run a class A the cooler it runs. HOWEVER - as this is one of the switching amps then i assume it automatically switches to A/B over a certain power output which is more sensible for a car useage. Mason 02-02-2004, 10:28 PM Looks like it switches over to AB after 25wrms at 4 ohms.. Still very impressive though, most class a's used to switch at 15wrms.. (I think) Blade 02-02-2004, 10:33 PM What's confused me about these Autoswitching amps, is the wonder of whether or not, on dynamic music running quickly above, and below that 25wrms mark, are you not going to notice is switching backwards and forwards between class A, and A/B? black-cat 02-02-2004, 10:37 PM Its not really a case of switching between the two. The output stage is identical. Unless the designer was a total moron (which I doubt) then the transition will be utterly noiseless. Mr Singh 02-02-2004, 11:34 PM Not to forget 25wrms of pure Class A amplification equals to quite alot of class a/b power! Same like with regards to pure tube amp, 2x18wrms is like 2x125wmrs of class a/b (not approximations but you get the jist) |
