Alright guys, for my new system i was thinking about just getting a comp 12 being ran from a crystal 300.2 amp.
now i am thinking that i would like a bit more output from a subwoofer, but also to retain SQ. so was thinking a compX212 being ran from a T600.2

the comp X12 is a dual 2 ohm sub rated at 800wRMS, and the T600.2 can produce 2x600wRMS @2ohms, so i was thinking of running a coil from each channel of the amp. do you reckon this sub will happily take the 1200WRMS with the gains set lowish?
has anybody hear one of these subs/own one??

Also, was looking at some images of the crystal amps, and noticed on the two channel models all have Line input RCA's and Line output RCA's as shown in attacthment.
so, the line input is obviously from headunit to amp, but what are the line outputs for?

if the T600.2 can do 2x600 @2ohms it should be able to do 1200@4ohm.

Are you sure you have the power figures correct? but either way.. wiring a 2 channel amp with 1 channel per coil will give you the same out put as wiring the coils in series and then bridged across the amp.

The line out put is so you can daisy chain amps.. for example if you only have 1 preout from your HU..

or you want say 6 bass amps of the same output in an spl wagon.

the 600.2 puts out 1200rms @ 2 ohms bridged (at 12.5V) (i know, i have 2 ;) )

yeah, the crystal does 1200w@2ohm like andrew says.
has anybody heard the crystalx212 subs before?
