Hi,

Has anybody got any experience with this, or any of the other GTO amps?

The reason I'm asking is I'm looking for an amp to run my active front end and this seems to be really good value for money. I can pick one up for £139.99 new.

Whats the build and sound quality like on these amps and is the reliabillity good?

The specs look ok appart from THD is a little higher than I would have liked.

So what do you guys think?

Heres the specs:

Freq. Response : 10Hz - 40kHz

Exactly the same as the Infinity RA-6006 six channel amp :)

I had the Infinity RA-5004 four channel amp a while back, which is exactly the same as the JBL GTO-4000 amp.

It does exactly what it says on the tin, and they are reliable amplifiers.

I doubt you will get better for the price you have seen it at :)

Cheers mate.

Yeh, I found out about that yesterday while reading the JBL/Infinity discusion. Thats what got me looking around comparing specs etc, then I found an online store selling the 6000 at the above price. :)

I hadn't thought about using JBL or Infinity amps before and haven't had any experience with them, so I thought I'd better find out if they were any good.

Anybody else got any comments?
