View Full Version : Alpine have new H700? Mr Singh 28-01-2004, 06:07 AM Alpine PXA-H701 http://www.bladeice.com/h701.jpg Interesting.... EddyP 28-01-2004, 06:10 AM looks rather similar, so whats the differences atsu? ;) Onnie 28-01-2004, 06:10 AM whats the difference between the two?? is it just the illumination? Matt T 28-01-2004, 06:10 AM Drool! Patrick! 28-01-2004, 06:11 AM Other than blue glowing buttons it does not look much different :D - have you seen any specs on it? I like the orange buttons cos it matches my dash very well :) Mr Singh 28-01-2004, 06:18 AM What band is the H700? 31 right? Blurb on the above pic says 165 band and 27 band parametric .. VD 28-01-2004, 06:25 AM also surely the 700 isnt DTS (i am not 100% sure of this?) oh and remember that the "165 band eq" could be 31 x n channels? and it says it does 8 channel output! Onnie 28-01-2004, 06:27 AM 27band parametric! :wow: i've only got 3 on my HU :( puggie 28-01-2004, 06:29 AM H700 is 165 band 31 X 5 (FL,C,FR,RL,RR) + 10 X 1 (sub) I think it's just an illumination thing to match up with other blue alpine gear, I heard something about a blue illuminated unit on a forum a while ago (here or a US forum maybe) mulletboy2 28-01-2004, 03:15 PM Isn't it the new American version? Sure Atsu said something about the blue ones not coming to the UK a while back too... Onnie - the 27 band parametric will be a few bands per channel in the same way the regular EQ is still just 31 bands per channel, not 165. MrMajestic 28-01-2004, 04:19 PM also surely the 700 isnt DTS (i am not 100% sure of this?) Im sure the 700 does have DTS :) Mr Singh 28-01-2004, 04:28 PM H700 is 165 band 31 X 5 (FL,C,FR,RL,RR) + 10 X 1 (sub) :) i forgot about that! puggie 28-01-2004, 04:33 PM Yeah, nice way to make big impressive numbers. Yep the h700 does have dolby digital and DTS decoding facitities if you give it a properly encoded digital signal (think it may do prologic too.). Patrick! 28-01-2004, 05:07 PM also surely the 700 isnt DTS (i am not 100% sure of this?) It is :) mine does it clio paul 28-01-2004, 07:38 PM 701 'v' 700 1) The 701 does not come with the display as standard as it can be controled fully by a few of the new Alpine headunits. 2) The optional display is blue illumination i.e. jap spec. http://www.student.suu.edu/~faga8301/Alpine%20Brochure/PAGE-3.JPG Sapient Formula 29-01-2004, 03:31 AM Just got back from being stuck traffic with all the snow, looks like all you guys have answered the questions...:) :) zimsoundz 29-01-2004, 04:35 AM but whats the price ? same? Sapient Formula 29-01-2004, 05:21 AM Yes. It's exactly the same as the PXA-H700. The only difference being that you buy the two parts separate. gtp11 29-01-2004, 05:53 AM Atsu- maybe you can awnser a q for me:) do you think the h700 will run off a Phoenix Gold Tidd10? Sapient Formula 29-01-2004, 05:56 AM I have absolutely no idea whatsoever. :( I think Geoff@BBG would be the one to ask.. mulletboy2 29-01-2004, 06:22 AM gtp - I don't see why not mate. I have my DEQ P9 running off a TDD5. Does it require heaps of current or something? BASStra 13-02-2004, 05:24 AM Yes. It's exactly the same as the PXA-H700. The only difference being that you buy the two parts separate. So the cost of the two items separately adds upto the cost of a normal H700? And gonna be in the UK? Sapient Formula 13-02-2004, 01:56 PM Yes, that's the idea. It will be coming to the UK, but no release dates yet. Escort_Mad 13-02-2004, 02:24 PM I think its quiet nice lol although dont really compare to my £79.99 JVC HU lol |
