I had a 10" version of the RF sub, was a little monster. :)

What is it you're trying to achieve m8, and whats ur budget?

Nice selection :D

Personally, that SPLD amp is a beast! and u should use it to its full potential ;)

1000rms at 1ohm! thats hell lota power! I assume ur after streetbass/SPL since u posted in this section ;)

Of course depends on ur budget. but how about a pair of these...

Trying to achieve loss of hearing and control of arse muscles!! Lol...Just want it to be very deep and hard, driving but also parked up at shows, boot-up!
Don't really want to go over £800 on an amp and a pair of subs...
Nice suggestions bouncey...was looking hard at them. What the SPL's like compared with the W3's and Rockfords?
Thanx...

With a single 10" in a saloon I hit 135db on the new mics. The Rockfords shouldn't be overlooked, and they can handle some power. I was throwing 1kw into mine on a daily basis, and it's still alive today in my m8's car. :)

I think that amp, coupled with 2 x 12" dual 4-ohm subs (in a vented enclosure!!!) will give you what you want, wether you pick the RF's, the RE's or the SPL's. :)

spld amp is nice, but i would pair it with two RE SE15's. that would be devistating.
or RF 1000bd and two crystal COMP15's <- that might be a bit much for ur budget though.

also are u gonna make a ported box?? u should definately think about it for streetbass.

A pair of 15's....hummmm, sounds appealing! Yeah, gonna be building a vented, custom enclosure in the boot of my Mondeo. It's a hatchback but I have a rear strut brace so space could be a pain. Was thinking 12's would give my a little more room to play with, smaller speakers needing less box etc. I can see that amp taking a fair bit of room up!!
I got 19's on so the spare is pretty useless, maybe bin that, make a bit more room.
I take it a vented enclosure would suit best?

vented for streetbass for sure..

with two 15's ur looking at roughly 7^ft and up
and with two 12's 4^ft and up..

if u can squeeze two 15's in u will have a pretty insane streetbass setup :)
however two 12's wont disappoint. I have heard two crystal COMP12's ported off about 1200wrms and they were deep deep deep. watch the tailgate flex a good inch :D

7 ft and up for 15's...christ on a bike, that'l be me whole boot!! Gonna be hard getting it all fitted and looking sweet with this bloody 2" polish bar accross the boot! Think 12's and about 4 ft of box will be the better option...well, easier to fit in anyway!! Will have to open the boot and stand there scratching me bonce and see what room we got...can't see 15's fitting well but if they will, look out! :smoke:
Now where's that tape measure...?! :D
