If you would be so kind, as i know little about designing boxes, im after a box size. Estimate from personal experience, or what a BB prog chucks out.
Subs - 3 x JL 15w0-8
Box type - sealed, heavily overbuilt :D
Space - limited
Power - way more than enough
Sound type - SQL really, tight but nice extended low bass
Also have dedicated bass DSP to help it along.
So what do ya reckon?
Thanks, Jamie.

Here you go.
Assuming you have 600w total (or more)
(These subs are 150w 'continous' I believe)
They should each have 2.0 to 2.75ft net each to play in.
If you have more than 500w and like it punchy go with 2.0
If you have less than 600w or you like it deep go 2.5 or 2.75
Also, if your car is bigger than an Escort think bigger box.
If it's smaller then go with the 2.0ft each recommendation.
You'll be happy with the sound, I'm sure of that !
Hope that helps. If not, try www.jlaudio.com

Paul, thanks man.
I was kinda hoping it were gonna be around the 6cuft mark.
More than enough power means an 81000d shared between 3 of them :D
And theres actually six subs and two amps, all to go in a wall in me cavalier. So two enclosures, six 15s, 2000+rms on tap (but never gonna use that) and a DSP to tune em further.
Should look similar to this attachment. That was the box i started building in my astra, abandoned project now being torn out as astra will become road weapon instead and the cav is more suited to dragging hefty quantities of ICE around.
Now i know the rough size (couldnt remember from last install its been so long since i did owt to it!) its time to start measuring up.
thanks chap.

Blimey ! :wow:
Do you have a problem with your hearing love ?
So (if I have it right) thats 6 x 15" subs (2.0ft each) and about 4000w in total ??? :wow:
Bleedy Hill !! I thought mine was loud !!!
I reckon you'll hit 155-160dB or you'll go deaf (or both).
Good Luck, If it looks anywhere near as good as that, you'll have a stunner !
Nice one. :D

Wont be quite that loud, and its only bout 2000w total, but still ample.
Fall into the streetbass category you think? ;)
