After reading a few posts, its made me think:

Im running 3 Ported Rockys, running from a VP4 Tuned to 35hz. Each Sub has its own 2.2Cuft Chamber (So its probably getting between 300-400 WRMS Each)

I took the recomendations from the Rocky Manual.

Do I qualify for streetbass?

TYIA :-)

You'd need more power for streetbass, is what I'm thinking!

quite easily and happily :D

if you want to hear vicious street bass (IMO) have a listen to the React fiesta

2.2 each, dam thats a big boot!!

i would say that sounds streetbassy TBH depends on how well the car projects bass

can you make your ear drums hurt?

Well, I drove down my GF's road last nite with a Bass CD on, windows down - She could feel me thru the Floor in the back room! And I set off 2 Alarms at about 25Mph.

Yes, It hurts when its on full.

Yeh, Ive used up the complete boot in my Escort Mk4 so each chamber is about 2.2Cuft.

Definately sounds loud to me...

Heck my Comp 12 sounds bloody loud to me, obviously not compared to others but with 500wrms... its not a lot. Then again, very small cabin.

That React systems car with the 2 kickers was  painfully loud.

All good :D

Tis all subjective at the end of the day... and if your happy with it, and its low enough, and loud enough for your tastes, then yes, it's definitely streetbass :)

Blade that sounded kind of patronising :D True though.

Oh, sh1t... sorry if thats how it came across :red: very much unintended...

Just meant to say that what anyone else thinks about your install doesn't make it streetbass, it's all about being happy with your install, and the results you get :)

....and the results you get :)

scaring animals / small children

setting off car alarms

making people think there is a huuuge lorry going past their home due to the 'lowness'

making it hard for people sitting in the rear seats to breathe

making your vision blur so much that you cant read road signs and end up getting on the M6 south instead of north coming out of Birmingham

and many other things which i cant remember at the moment

ah, *sniff* yep its all worthwhile :D

It's great ain't it... the only problem is, that its so easy to go from being happy with your setup, to unhappy... WhenI had my old pair of seaed RF 15s, I was happy with em, and their musical streetbass output, then after going to a few meets, I realised how poor it was, and ceased to be happy... Streetbass is really addictive, you just want more!

yeah i know what you mean, i was very happy with my two 15's but wanna try a different set-up (more power mainly  ) but also see how a single ported 15" sounds - if i dont like it i may try two sealed 12's or even back to two sealed 15's

hopefully the single ported 15" should give me the fix i need though ;)

whether it does or doesnt isnt the point... its more a question of HOW LONG will it give you that same "fix"
