Alrite guys!
Need some advice please, i will be receiving a directed 1100d shortly and want to know what sub/s will complement it. I want a setup that will be reliable, give a hard punch whilst still retaining some sq.
I already have a single JL 12W3v2, which i like the performance of, and thought about adding another 2. I could wire them up to show a 1.3ohm load to the amp so each sub would receive about 300w each.
What d'ya think the performance of this setup would be like?
I have also considered using 2 Spl Dynamics Pro12D4, so each would recieve about 550w each well under their rated power.
Which setup would you go with.

For a balanced sound with good SQ and 'morethanloudenough' SPL I'd add another 1 or 2 JL12's to what you already got.
They'll be happy all-day-long with 300w each, and in the right sized sealed box (or correctly sized and tuned ported box) you should have a large grin :shiny: and a reasonable bank balance
I think there's one in classifieds for £100 IIRC
Hope that helps !
Tall Paul :)
P.S. I used to run 2 x 12W6 sealed with 500w each - Magic !

I think the one in classifieds is his!
How about a single higher end sub like a XXX, H2, IDMAX or W7. Any of them would work well with that kind of power.

If you've already got one JL and like the sound of it, 3 will absolutely pound with that amplifier. Good choice of amp by the way

Decided to sell my JL W3 and have provisionally bought React Systems DD 3512 off them:)
Im going to bulid a box for it and see how that runs for a while. I may pick up another 1100d to strap to my other one and get a larger sub. Will have to sort my power supply out first though.
Still wouldnt mind doin a system with 4 12W3's or a couple of the new 15W3's

All sound like great options, although fitting 4 12W3s may be difficult space-wise, especially if your trying to run em ported

Thought about the space issue runnin ported but have been told there isnt much to be gained goin ported with the W3's. They can be used sealed in 1cu/ft enclosures so i could easy fit a 4cu/ft enclosure in.

That would be cool... I've been very impressed with W3s in the past, cracking subs :)
