alright guys, just wanted to know what every1 thought.thinks is the best sql sub avaliable 2 catagories subs which cost under 500, and ones which cost 500+

2 R.E XXX 18's should just about fit the bill i think ;)

I guess it all depends on what sort of balance of SQ, and L you want, and price does have to come into it somewhere, your £500 price split is a pretty high one... there aren't all that many subs that actually come in at above £500

For the SQ part, take 1 kevlar cone, stiff for minimal distortion, and light for fast responce. add a 30KG magnet round an extended 3 inch voice coil for the L bit ;)

well my list would have the h2 and xxx as true sql but thats the only ones i have heard so the others might be very good

me just dont know see how my sql works out next year

yeh dd 35 series are good i think for sql, one of the better options id say..im biased though :D

i'm thinking maybe the dd35 and the re xxx's are comin out as the overal winners

also depends do you go RRP or the price CAD can do it for you, which will be easily less than the RRP.

in any case, there is what i call a 'super-sub league' - drivers which are all at the top of their game (but which unfortunately weigh like a small elephant :D)

OZ Audio Matrix Power (possibly discontinued, if so = :shake: :()

DD 9500 series

Eclipse Alum/Ti

Diamnod Audio TDX

any of these subs are the best of the best and getting one to sound better than the other will all be shown up by selection of ampliofier, enclosure, installation.

dd3500 and re hc unfortunately are not in the super-sub league, even though they are v.decent drivers.

I'd like to think so, there is a chap in the states who has been giving a pair 4k rms each at slap for the entire 2003 season, no re-cones ,no problems of any sort...
