Just messing around on my Acer Aspire One (A150) 120GB HDD, 512MB RAM, etc.. running EasyPeasy 1.0 for Netbooks aka UbuntuEEE!
For Ubuntu Users Only;
sudo apt-get install sl - "SL stands for Steam Locomotive."
Once downloaded/installed simply type, "sl" without "" quotes of course!
It will then give you this;

As you can see I'm very bord :clown::p
But look at this, its way cool lol...
sudo apt-get install mplayer - If you don't have it. But if you do type this,
eg: mplayer -vo caca eg.avi
But for me, as I have Shameless on my Desktop I just do;
Terminal > cd Desktop > mplayer -vo caca Shameless.avi
Heres a snapshot of it, can anyone guess who that is in the background? :lol:

Again, very bord..:smokin:

Hi there mbh69, the guy that drove past me one day in a red polo.. shaking the hell out my old work!!
Things you need to install Ubuntu, or any lite distro.
USB Pen Drive, 2GB will be well enuff,
Linux Distro.iso, this will be you're os,
You will also need to download unetbootin for windows, and install it from you're desktop pc!
Once you have everything above you can start to install you're os :)
1) Put the Pen Drive in, make sure its formated.. an all data wiped off. You can just right click the device in my computer an format!
2) Download unetbootin for windows, open it.. follow it, then it will then extract all the files from the .iso, and make it bootable (Note: It will ask you to Restart, just Exit and Safely Remove Hardware Device. Take it out, stick it in you're notebook,netbook what ever.. press F12, boot it it will say USB device name or something. hit enter on that.
And unetbootin menu will pop up, it will say; Default, Live, Install etc... just do Default :)
IT will then boot up.. and you can install it when it loads up to you're desktop!
Here are some useful downloads
Unetbootin for WIndows, to extract .iso an make bootable: http://sourceforge.net/project/mirror_picker.php?height=350&width=300&group_id=222386&use_mirror=kent&filesize=&filename=unetbootin-windows-323.exe&abmode=
Download this one to, its Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download-netbook
HTH.

You realise it's a few clicks of the mouse to do that in VLC? And they aren't exactly terminal commands, they are programs.
