Can anyone help me scope my 2 new Kenny PS811D's at Mod Nats please?, preferably Saturday about mid day :)
Only have a crappy multimeter and need them properly scoped before I burp.
Both amps feed two Oz 15's in a common ported box so need to be scoped pretty close if possible.
I have a tones CD but no scope :(
Buy you a burger or pint for your trouble :)

whats a scope???? :clown:
i just disconnected subs, turned hu up to just before clip, then turned gains up to the same on both amps......
i also strapped them 2day & they did exactly the same score but were unstable..... but at least i know my gain setting up worked....
i dont think a scope is need to be honest mate, just a good multimeter.... and of course an amp that doesn't mind having no load on full power

I could scope them off the amp readings on the HU tbh mate, that one extra click on the volume would produce a big rise in current draw that i could see on the HU, (goes from 55A to 88A :raz:)
I have both gains set the same on the dials but that could still be way off so I want to see the sinewave to see exactly where the clipping point is, could be a few notches lower than I think couldnt it.
Plus I can scope my HU at the same time to see how far off the 5V claim it is.
Would rather do it loaded too as its a real world moving load rather than an open circuit.
Subs can take it, I gave the one worse when I was running it IB!

ok yeah scope the gains whilst subs are on i can understand that, but surely without subs connected is easier with a multimeter.... turn gain up till multi says for example 30.5volts & then get second as close as you can to that...
see what the pros say on saturday... i imagine we'll both pick a few things up this weekend

I've got my scope etc. in the car too, ready to bring at the weekend, plus termlab, signal generator, phase tester etc...
