Hi i Am Wanting to start compeating in IASCA
and whant to know what i need to do and how it all works
i understand that you go to verious events around the country
and get marked and scored in diff classes
but i dont know what catogery i come into. and also
is the membership to cover the costs or entering all the events or is it just for all the legislation and to get your self registered
i have got a 1998 A3
with a JL 500/1 running 2 x W3's V2
and a 450/4 Running Some Focal Polyglass V2's
i do not work for any sort of Audio or electronics company and
all the work in the car was done by myself Apart from the door pods that Paul At Source Sounds did for me.
does the above mean that i go into the rookie Class
Any help and as much info as pos would be great thanks

Yes, you'll probably be better placed in Rookie. The membership is not necessary for Rookie Class, entry to the competitions are charged over and above the annual registration fee, all you get is the membership pack, which in itself could be quite useful. In other classes you will gain points for being a member and further points for displaying the car sticker, but again in Rookie this is not the case.
Here is a link to the IASCA site for the UK (http://www.iascauk.com/) I'd suggest joining that forum too as they are very good at getting back with answers to competition specific questions. That said most members of that forum are members here too.
It's good to see yet another new competitor for 2008, IASCA must be really enjoying thie population boost if all those who have stated they are competing actually turn up.

Sign up, register for the event your planning on attending, get the tickets and turn up.
Theboys and girls will see you right on the day.

As others have said, you will need to register before the event, but other than that, it's very easy to get competing. Paul at Source has been competing with his customers for many years, so if you need any other info, either ask on here or pop in and see Paul. :)
The first event is in about 6 weeks. :smokin:

Thanks Nige
would go to paul and source for help but recently moved to cornwall 350Miles away so going to have to go it alone with this
What music do they use to test the car with as i have no idea how it needs to be setup or what they are looking for

There is a competition disc which is used to judge the car with. This disc is available online through the IASCA shop.

thanks for that got one on order now
just wanting to know how the points work eg will i stand a chance of getting very far if i am unable to attend all of the events and how will it adversly Effect my points
as i have just noticed that one of the events is up in scotland over 700Miles from me and dont fancy the drive
how will it effect me ?
Well, if only one person does all the shows, then they are fairly likely to take the league title, but many people prefer to aim at winning the UK final instead. :)
