the part that the mains charger goes into is ****ed on the laptop can these be replaced/fixed easy?
it only charges now when the laptops off its doingmy head in.
any help?

If it's just the power jack then yes it can be replaced. A repair shop will probably charge you an arm and a leg, if you're handy with a soldering iron you can get a jack off ebay and do it yourself.

what laptop is it ?
ebay the part and change it yourself i doubt you will have to solder anything it will be cheaper to buy a new power supply and screw old one out and replace

Hey mart,
These are commen things to break on a laptop, we see them all the time.
The power plug is normally soldered to the mainboard of the laptop so it does take a fair amount of taking apart and requires some good soldering to keep it in place.
You rprobably best taking it into a repair place, maybe the TV repair shop on the corner in wednesbury could help and it would probably be cheapest.

nice one lads im pretty sure ive still got some cover wigth the tech guys , but just wanted to know if these any fixed easy.
starting to get some real trouble with it now tho.
the sscreen is always dull ,and one of the usb ports is playing up , space bar is dont always work.

ive got the same problem on my advent 7097. had the motherboard replaced under warentee already but its now run out so i gotta work out how to repair it
