Leo. 04-02-2007, 08:39 AM I picked up a Buffalo AirStation Turbo G from work, purely because I needed one and I couldn't be arsed to go anywhere else. Was fairly cheap, and after I'd set it up right works perfectly Adam K 04-02-2007, 09:38 AM no router should need resetting all the time, no matter how crap it is. marko 04-02-2007, 09:41 AM no router should need resetting all the time, no matter how crap it is. i've tried upgrading the firmware loads of times and it's not having it, was only a cheapo belkin one that cost £25:rolleyes: i'm gonna go and spend a little more this time maybe £100 and get a decent one! every 5 mins i have to pull the plug and reset:evil: Paintguy 04-02-2007, 09:42 AM Wired or wireless? Do I remember rightly that you're on Telewest cable? (or NTL, Virgin or whatever it's called this month) I've been using a (wired) Linksys BEFSR41 v2 for a good few years now after my cable modem. It's been running 24/7, and has only ever been reset when we've had a power cut. At one point it was serving 8 PC's (through a piggy-backed Linksys switch) and never gave me any issues :) marko 04-02-2007, 09:58 AM telelwest wireless, i can'ty get anything out of it now, as soon as i connect to the internet it lasts about 10 seconds, i'm typing this from the main "hard wired" pc in our house... |
