Right, Ive just been gifted a new 19" TFT for an end of contract bonus thing.
To do this monitor justice Im going to have to fit a graphics card, currently using onboard.
And seeing as Ill be spending on a graphics card, thought I may aswell, throw in a new processor and motherboard.
Ill carry over my current HDs and gig of ram.
Anything recomended?
Under £200 all in.

I just got:
Athlon Venice 64 3200+ = £29 (bargain price - probably a bit more off ebay)
ATI X800 GTO2 = £60 delivered (dual DVI outputs)
Motherboard = MSI K8N nforce 4 = £50
New case (well why not?) = £30
EDIT: fogot that I bought a new 24pin PSU to power the new stuff = £35 - Thermaltake value 470W
I am really really pleased with the performance for the money (although anything is better than a PC that crashes half the time), it plays Farcry at full settings in 1280*1080 with no problems so I'd imagine it will play pretty much any game (with a concession on the settings). The only thing I would do is add some more RAM so if there is budget left I would get another gig.

Have a look for Woosey's recent thread - the board he's going for takes both DDR (like you have) and DDR2 (new, faster) so would probably be a decent base for your system :)
