My plan is to cut away the bit of plastic (the door card) between the speaker and the door and mount the speaker with MDF baffle straight onto the door and then to seal the door as much as possible.

I only really want to use about half of the pack and sell the rest but might be persuaded to use it all if I like the results.

I think I'm doing the outside door skin one layer 2 or 3 around the speaker and then one on the inner door skin.

The questions are:

Anything wrong with the above or can be used in better ways?

i need to go out and buy myself a roller i guess?

How much difference will chamfering the baffle be? (12mm MDF plus the door)

I'm no expert but I don't really think there is a "wrong" way to do it really.

I've got a bulk pack in my house too waiting to go in, and I'm just gonna do a single layer covering as much of the outer skin that I can reach, and another layer covering the entire inner skin. Repeat for both doors, and possibly add some extra where I think the vibrations will be localised.

I'm aiming to use the whole pack on both doors, but will be happy if there is any left over to do bits of the rear quarters.
