thickness, sludge you can get on in one go with a brush. spectrum you can spray on, but needs more coats to achieve the same thickness. i think its that simple, i could be wrong.

that is it I think I have use spectrum and it requires multiple layers but can be sprayed, sludge is pastey as opposed to a liquid and you can slap it on in one coat.

most of this i will be using to cover Damplifier pro instead of adding multiple layers of damplifier pro, ill use this to mask it,, also mainly wanted to fill in some gaps and level the boot out so was thinking spectrum could be sufficient for this?

they are both the same stuff, one just is more liquidy

cool cool, :) so can be applied in layers once dried and therefore will equal the sludge

nice nice :)

Sectrum has a higher resin count then Sludge (because of all the extra filler and thickening agent used to beef upSludge) which in theory converts more vibraions in to heat, thus making Spectrum a better product. I will use Specrum over Sludge in most applications. Sludge takes the lead when time and application technique are limited..
Both do an awesome job though.

Is there much difference in the drying time between the two?

One layer of Spectrum will fully set faster than one layer of Sludge, due as odds are one layer of Sludge will be much thicker than one layer of Spectrum

Im looking at using spectrum on my 306 doors and boot. As its only £30 at the mo.

can i use a brush to put it on?

how long does it take to dry?

can i apply it with the door attached to the car (ie. vertical) or is it too runny? and will drip all down the door and make a mess?

or would sludge allow me to do this?

yes

dunno

yes you can apply it with the door attached to the car, you can even apply it to the underside of the roof!

from Marks SLUDGE review, he said 24 hours for the sludge, http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=150609 the sludge is alot thicker than the spray though, so i imagine it will dry quicker for a single layer, but then you do need to add more layers
