View Full Version : Is it me... zain 25-07-2006, 01:28 AM or do those ******* ASDA adverts with those ******* singing bloody kids **** you off too. that is all. luke667 25-07-2006, 07:01 AM i could hug u! finally some one spoke up! if i hear another one of those ****in songs with a bunch of cnuting b4stard kids again, i'm gonna resurrect charles manson and send him to their homes Benny 25-07-2006, 07:31 AM I too have to fight the urge to go to Spasda and maim some children when I see that advert. Other ads which annoy me at the moment are: "They're gonna taste greeeeat". That child should be publically executed, by having a hundred kilos of soggy Frosties pumped into him until he explodes. Irritating little bástard. This event should be televised. I'm sure Endemol will take it on... Lotus toilet paper. IT IS BOG ROLL FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. Nobody cared if it feels "quilty", and the nation doesn't need a short lecture on your rectal hygiene practices. Tear, wipe, flush and move on...that is all there is to it. FemFresh. I'm vaguely aware of what it does, but I have no wish to be educated about the matter when I'm trying to eat, drink, sleep, watch porn...in fact, I don't really want to know anything about it, ever. Vagisil / Canesten. You've got thrush. That's too bad. STOP BEING SO BLOODY CHEERFUL ABOUT IT. In addition to this, we also don't care that washing your "most intimate area" with regular body wash can be bad. It's not like you'r being forced to douse your cooch in boric acid or something, and do you really think you need another bottle in the bathroom? DFS. The new adverts where that bloke is mincing around with the laminated bit of A4 paper while a succession of increasingly irritating people lounge around on them doing annoying things like eating sushi and playing with their rabid labrador. But THE most annoying thing? The singers are crap, and THE WORDS DONT EVEN BLOODY RHYME. "These are double discount/to save you twice the amount". That clearly doesn't work. And it looks like the whole advert was made for about twenty quid one Sunday afternoon when business was a bit slow. Washing powders who are on some kind of social mission. I mean FFS, all I want to do is wash my kecks. I don't care if you're donating money to some charity, or whether you've got some inane "celebrity" sports person to make yet another half-hearted attempt to drag a generation of couch potatoes away from their XBOXes and make them run around in a field risking lawsuits and litigation if anyone should attempt to tackle them. This is the job of the PARENTS. Not people who make ground up soap. Stupid AOL adverts. You're a second-rate ISP, you are responsible for allowing an entire country full of rednecks onto the Internet, and now you're trying to come across as being "intellectual" by provoking people to think about stuff. Discuss my arse. Grrrrrr...... B Buju Banton 25-07-2006, 08:41 AM Dont forget the latest in a long line of irritating Halifax adverts :( gecko 25-07-2006, 08:49 AM That Frosties advert makes me want to kill someone "They're gonna taste great, with your mate, on a plate" etc then he starts this little 'freestyling' dance with this stupid grin on this face. Agh!!!!! Or the Vauxhal adverts with the little Northen kids pretending to be the adults "ah, their over tired". Shut up!! Agh!!!!! major_84 25-07-2006, 08:55 AM "They're gonna taste greeeeat". That child should be publically executed, by having a hundred kilos of soggy Frosties pumped into him until he explodes. Irritating little bástard. This event should be televised. I'm sure Endemol will take it on... unsurprisingly the kid who did that advert got so bullied for it that he tried to commit suicide and he's no critically ill in hospital. also that bleeding aa advert, where they sing their version of "you've got a friend" but they miss the last two bars or so off the end of every line really gets my goat too!! its just wrong, wrong, WRONG!! Baz 25-07-2006, 09:04 AM unsurprisingly the kid who did that advert got so bullied for it that he tried to commit suicide and he's no critically ill in hospital. Rumours.. radio 1 checked out this rumour and then announced its no true as they spoke to the kids agents who told them he is happy and on holiday in mexico or somewhere. Blade 25-07-2006, 09:05 AM Currently hating that woman on the icecream toothpaste advert... "everytime you take a bit its gonna CATCH YOU" Really? Do I care about your holiday to Italy? Anyway, whats with all the adverts recently where they get the least convincing actor ever to pretend to be a user of the product, getting way too overenthused about something like "whole grains" :shake: Do they really think were buying the act? major_84 25-07-2006, 09:18 AM Rumours.. radio 1 checked out this rumour and then announced its no true as they spoke to the kids agents who told them he is happy and on holiday in mexico or somewhere. oh ok, thats good. he does need a kicking tho..... i'd like to give him a good shoeing will singing "its gonna taste great, its gonna taste great......you're gonna taste my shoe sole hitting ur face...." wąnker.... MrP 25-07-2006, 09:18 AM adverts where they have really badly dubbed over the orignal foriegn voices and made no effort to make it look decent any advert for big brother any advert for loans/car loans/insurance/endowment/accident/whatever they all make me wanna do a degree in torture and then some some quality time with the advert makers and stars tP 25-07-2006, 09:37 AM also that bleeding aa advert, where they sing their version of "you've got a friend" but they miss the last two bars or so off the end of every line really gets my goat too!! its just wrong, wrong, WRONG!! wow, i thought i was the only one! they've clearly just done it to shorten the advert so it's cheaper, but it just doesn't work and really irritates the hell out of me too! also, the bt/aol/insert you isp here, which claim they can now offer wireless for the same price, or that with their security you're safer than the next isp... it's nothing to do with the isp is it, it's the equipment you have and the softeware you use etc! pretty much everywhere on the net tries to target your ads, eg gmail etc. if only the tv could detect who was watching and then change the ads to be relevant to you... so if it's us sitting in the living room watching something, the ads will have scantily clad women telling us to drink beer, or if it's the mrs watching it'll show hair dye commercials etc. having said that, sky+ saves my sanity. Blade 25-07-2006, 09:52 AM What is aswell with adverts being so bloody loud nowadays!? Your watching TV at a reasonable level, then the ads come on and take your ears off... Benny 25-07-2006, 09:55 AM I noticed the AA advert too - the song just doesn't sound "right", does it? B Stuie 25-07-2006, 09:58 AM http://youtube.com/watch?v=ODxNcZWxU5E for those who love to be reminded of how not to get famous tP 25-07-2006, 10:41 AM What is aswell with adverts being so bloody loud nowadays!? Your watching TV at a reasonable level, then the ads come on and take your ears off... yeah, good point, paramount are the worst for that. watching south park in bed having a pre sleep chuckle, ads come on and you're blasted into next week. i guess it's so when you leave the room to make a cuppa/take a leak etc you can still hear the ads. annoying as hell though. MrP 25-07-2006, 10:54 AM motors TV are the worst offenders for being loud. watch any other channel at a nice volume, put motors TV on and the people at the other end of the road can hear it cdcool1 25-07-2006, 12:08 PM Infact, the only good adverts are adverts for beer and lager zain 26-07-2006, 08:32 PM I think people should deliberatly boycott goods with **** adverts. For example, Ive just seen the ******* "Squeeze Please" advert for the new capri sun for oooh, the 148th time today. Wont be buying any of that **** now. Skeelsie 26-07-2006, 09:05 PM ****ing **** ing asda ****, i wouldn't **** on that. Those annoying little *******s singing that load of ****. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhgggggggggggggggggg gggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg. ***** Ciqala 26-07-2006, 09:42 PM i must say as an avid fan of rik mayall in the young ones and bottom i am desperately disappointed he's voiced the andrex ads. "thanks for making the bed for me" = thanks for making me wish you tore your voicebox out on that bloody quad bike. Benny 27-07-2006, 07:19 AM i must say as an avid fan of rik mayall in the young ones and bottom i am desperately disappointed he's voiced the andrex ads. Me too. How the mighty have fallen. :( B prelude_stan 27-07-2006, 09:27 AM DFS.
