Hello guy's im going to start to buy some Sound Deadening stuff but i want to do a 50/50 split on the cost. Im looking at getting some cheap
Sound Deadening Panels but then use something like Second Skin Spectrum over the top.

The Sound Deadening Panels come in a size of 500 X 500mm and come in a pack of 10 so that work's out to around 19 SQ.FT just over and the cost is £23.60 including next day P&P. If anyone can do me more SQ.FT for less please PM me.
(( Do you guy's think 1 pack will do or should i get 2 ? ))

Then im looking to get something like Second Skin Spectrum to go over the top of it and in the gap's . Do you think this would give me Adequate Sound Deadening for under £100.

And what part's would you specifically concentrate on.
Thank's

I just fitted 100 sq ft of r blox sound deadening to my vectra last month. I have completly covered the whole car in the stuff apart from the roof as I will be doing that when I get onto the next stage of fitting my install.

Now you might be thinking thats alot of sound deadening but thats nothing as I am going to need at least another 100 - 150 sq ft in the car in the near future.

What are you planning to fit? That will determine how much you will need and where to put the s/deadening

TBH I've been very impressed by the results of just 2 layers of bodyline before. It's good stuff. Plus it doesn't slice your fingers open. After working with Damplifier Pro on Project Transformer, and Brown Bread on the Mundaneo then I'd probably use the Bodyline over Brown Bread, though I think Damplifier Pro is much better for ease of application, grip, weight for depth etc.

Thank's for that m8 as i say £23.60 for all most 20sqft is class i would like to try the Damplifier Pro but it's way to much for me to get the same amount of SQ.FT as i think im going to need at lest 2 maybe 4 pack's. Then im going to go with something like Second Skin Spectrum to go over the top .

Ok, i keep seeing all this talk of "cheap" sound deadening and tbh i know we can do something with regular Dampliifer that in the right quantity could probably blow away anything offered from Rblox or eDead.

if you were going to buy a large bulk kit on the cheap, what quantity would you want to see and what price sq/ft would it need to be, it appears to be £2/sq.ft looking through previous threads.

Is a 36sq.ft regular bulk pack big enough or would 60 be better?

Don't put DP over the top of a cheaper deadening. I'm running R-Blox with sludge on top, and now that the R-Blox is peeling off due to hot days, I'm tempted to rip it off and do it properly with DP.. but that means I lose the sludge too. Put the best deadening on the bottom so that if the cheaper stuff fails, you don't lose the more expensive stuff too.

i think 60 sq ft (or 72? two bulk packs) should be made as a standard pack and sell them as small car bulk pack, or larger car bulk pack :) what u think?

Yer i read ure post and for the money you payed out you would have liked to at lest got all the boot done. But then you did buy the pro stuff. I have a vectra saloon and the boot is so big it's unreal. So i would like to see sound deadening coming in big bulk pack's a nuf to do 1 layer on the door's and boot.

I dont mind using the lower end stuff as long as it's good Value as im on a Budget I would like to see the lower end of the Dampliifer for around £1.50 a SQ.FT then i could get like 100SQ.FT and use 1 gallon of Second Skin Spectrum to go over the top in places that it's need most.

the way i see it, so fat its 36sft (little more!) on the boot alone,
the door kit is just enough to do a outter skin, therefore a proper door kit should atleast do two outers?

ie, a bulk pack should be a trunk kit + door kit. but actually fill up the door and trunk! i dont mind about the cost,,, just atlest it would be easier to plan for etc,

I dont have a lot off ££££ to hand with moving cost's and othere stuff.
So cost is realy a big problem for me right now that's why i would go with the low end of the Dampliifer. Get most off the car done then latter on ad the Second Skin Spectrum to it
