Loads of automotive ones, I've had to learn a whole new language to converse with Americans on chevy truck forums:

Rockers = sills
fenders = wings

Speaking of fanny (?!) - I used to work for a large US corporation (made bog roll) and the CEO was doing a worldwide broadcast on their own TV channel and started talking about having a sore fanny which caused no end of chuckles in the UK!

They also say spit instead of spat for past tense which is odd!

I didn't even know fanny had another meaning... lol Regarding the spit thing, I think that's just down to frighteningly bad grammar. I sometimes find it difficult to read american forums because of the pathetic writing skills people demonstrate, time and again... :(

Most annoying "Americanism" to date -

"WOW DUDE!! THATS SICK!"

Used in lieu of - "That's amazing!"

For those of you who don't know, fanny means ass in america land...

Rubber means condom, and don't ever say you're going to light up a fag...
