Probably a question best answered by secondskinrep, but any other comments appreciated :)

As title really, I'm wondering about the suitability of Spectrum and Firewall as a substrate for paint. Firewall sounds like the ideal product for the engine bay of my car (which needs painting anyway) but I need to retain the factory look, hence the need to paint over it.

Is this possible? And/or do you recommend a primer as an intermediate layer?

Thanks in advance.

you can deffinatly paint the sludge, so i imagine you can paint the other stuff too, you may aswell use primer anyway just to be on the safe side :)

Thanks.

I got that impression from the Sludge review, but I just wanted to be sure :)
