i've said £50 knowing you guys will stretch it to the limit and ofcourse exceed it :D
but im a little confused with all the SS products available
i just want something for the front doors that will help reduce a little noise from the outside, strengthen the midbass, and deaden the noise escaping the car too
im tempted by the sludge, but i'd like something like a mat to seal up the inner door skin
SS can be done in stages right? like a bottom layer or spectrum and then a layer of luxury liner on top? if i wanted to do it in one step, or as little steps are possible, what step(s) would be reccomended?

you can get IA, SI......but 350 won't buy you much from SS :clown:

door kit would be the best place to start :)
then if you wanted you could add some overkill

I personaly don't think you can get better than dynamat extreme and even in small amounts as per my rear shelf it can make a huge difference,

Always best to start with a foundation of matting like damplifier IMO. The other products can be used to either reach the tricky areas (liquid) or kill off the airborne noise (barriers) afterwards.
The major problem in doors is structural vibration therefore you 100% need the matting. So if you have a limited budget this must be first port of call..
so if i went for the damplifier door kit, and added some overkill on top, would this be a good start? :)

Yup, damplifier kills the structural rattles and overkill minimises the airborne wind/road noise.
Makes a lovely combo as mattClio can verify here:

:)
whats overkill extreme?!
i should be making a purchase soon :D :) cheers for the advice
edit: also.. if i go for damplifier, then overkill on top, can i later add some sludge on top? or is the overkill supposed to go over the top of the sludge? :)

Tej - if you want to do damplifier and overkill first, just use double sided sticky tape, or even rolled masking/gaffer tape to secure the overkill... then remove the overkill, apply the sludge on top of the damplifier and put the overkill back on afterwards.
aha :)
not sure if im gonna use the sludge, but just wanted to make sure first!

Where i have used the overkill, i am very impressed with it its has improved the sound loads over just the DP, bargin as well :D
