Was just wondering - one of the things that has mayhaps put me off deadening my car extensively for now is the weight factor - young driver = expensive insurance = small engined car - even with my sub in it makes a difference. So i was wondering - are there weight benefits of second skin over, say dynamat, dyn extreme or bb?

Negligible weight difference imo.

Sound deadening works by adding mass to the doors, which in turn reduces vibrations.

and also - how does it fare in eliminating road/tyre noise? i.e. in comparison to dyn extreme. I know there are dedicated products for just road noise reduction but would this make any difference?
