the class is up to you mate depending on if you are connected to or work within the car audio industry or are sponsored if you are any of the above you should be in a pro or expert category.

if none of the above apply you can go into a rookie or armature category even if you ain't fitted the kit yourself and have paid a dealer or someone else to fit it for you

as far as i'm aware its 1 day sunday 16th of july thats all that fast and modified are advertising in there magazine

Si,it is only a 1 day event(Sunday) but Saturday is setup day and there is meant to be judging during then.

Might have to miss it - too much work on and getting interior re-trimmed.

As you've got some serious kit there mate..:wow:

To be honest the lowest category that you could enter based on the cost of you kit is ROOKIE UNLIMITED if you are directly connected within the industry it would need to be any of the categories from
PRO-SOUND ONLY up

How is it modified Haz..:confused: cosmetically or internal circuitry ??

As this could determine what category you are eligible for..

On the other hand with the kit you have in your car it would seem like it has the potential to be a serious contender in PRO-SOUND ONLY{car is mainly judged on safety & how good it sounds} or PRO-UNLIMITED{more in depth with the install part of the judging process}

The MS1000 TA I have is modified internally so I has the same (if not better) components then the original MS1000 itself, so it can have the same SQ as the original MS1000 and give more power.

This is my first time ever competiting so I don't want to go against the pros' yet. I want to have some kind of experience first.

So can I compete in the Rookie unlimited class?

Sorry, if you changed it internally you´ll have to go for Pro. But don´t worry, you´ll also get hints and tips, and if you think your install isn´t 100% go for the SoundOnly...
But, don´t worry! It´ll be fun wherever you´ll have to compete!

Hi Haz.

While I can see your point about never competing before my hands are tied mate as the rules are the rules & are set out in all the respective categories to give everyone in their respective category a fair & level playing field.

While we are always very happy to see new competitors especially ROOKIES unfortunately I cannot bend the rules as you would be seen to have an unfair advantage over the other competitors in your category.

If you had the original components from the amp & it wasn’t a massive hassle to refit them to bring the amp back to standard you would be entitled to enter your desired category but would have to prove that this had been done but that is your decision mate.

I’m really sorry about this Haz as like I said we really do try to encourage people like yourself who are new to competing to give it a go as it’s a great experience & can be very helpful plus you guy’s are the future PROs & EXPERTS & the life blood of the competition scene but I hope you can understand I must adhere to the rules to keep it fair fore everyone.

The only thing about this is that if you compete in a PRO category it would not be possible for you to drop back down to a ROOKIE in the future just letting you know to keep it fair & so you are aware of this..:confused:

Well the amplifier is modified with the parts of the original MS1000 the one which got released in 1997 (the 50 special edition) so technically it is the same as those amps thus not modified, if you know what I mean. Just consider it being the limited edition Ms1000 because this is what it is. So that being the case, can I enter the Rookie unlimited class?

Plus the amp was modified by the PG and let the factory in that state, so no third party modifications were invlolved.

The point is:
(the same): No problem. This would only mean a refresh of the amp which is allowed.
(if not better):
same components-no prob
different components- if EVERYBODY could purchase them (and a minimum of 10 were build)-no prob
If both things are not as said above, only then you have to go for PRO, otherwise Rookie.

As long as it came from the factory as is & has not had any after market upgrade & the amp was available to the general public in the same spec as your amp through a P.G. retailer then there is no problem..:D
