firstly, which is the better one at deadening

second skin spectrum?
second skin sludge?
or second skin firewall?

im a little confused on the difference of these products.. the only thing i can see is that firewall will withstand higher temperatures and insulate the car? (which would be handy for summer :D )

also, what would be the best course of sound deadening(i only want to do the doors)? just using some of the liquid stuff, matts, or a mixture?

say i had a budget of £60 to do the front doors, what would you guys receomend? and where else would you reccomend deadening?

I've been using spectrum and it is good but a bit thin and lacking mass for general use, if you can get to it with a brush then sludge would be better, spectrum can be sprayed though with an underseal style gun which meant it can deaden the parts lesser deadening liquids cannot reach.

dries nice and quick, smells a bit funny and I can thoroughly reccomend it.

If you are doing a very flat area then I'd probably go for mat as its quick to apply and you get instant good results. if its a rough or uneven surface that would be a sod to apply mat to but you have easy access to it then get sludge, if you cannot really reach the areas and have a compressor then spectrum and spray it on.

i was at first thinking mats and then fill in the gaps with sludge?

but then the inner skin will have to be done with mats really  i guess that answers the question...

what works as a better sound deadener? liquid stuff or mats? and what works out at a better value?

I've done rear quarter skins with spectrum, sludge would have been better (more mass).

to be honest I'd be very tempted to a bucket o' sludge.

I haven't used the sludge my self but ive read mulletboy2's review and its seem to be lot better value. But saying that ive still haven't bought any i think it would end up really messy
