what do i do now? where do i begin with this phone? where do i download cool stuff? do i need to buy a micro sd card? whats the cool stuff to get for it? i dont have or want facebook, i dont want to download music (only from my PC to phone) does it have HD screen? can i put films/programms on it? someone give me the low down, where do i get the speedo HUD app and other cool bits? is 750mb mobile data enough? il only ever use the satnav occasionaly on it (if it even has that)

for the last 6 years ive had the 8800 carbon, 8800 sapphire etc etc so im very new to something that does more than tx/call.

mine and the mrs contracts were up and we were both rocking retro phones without predictive tx.

ive got the following.

300mins
Unlimited tx
250mobile data
250mobile BT wireless
blackberry curve 9300 (free)
for 15 per month

&

900mins
Unlimited txs
750mobile data
2gb mobile BT wireless
Galaxy S2 (free)
for 27 per month

both 24month contracts with vodafone.

ive got a 7day cooling off period, if someone thinks thats a terrible deal and knows something much better

That looks very expensive for a 48 month contact (didn't know they did that long contact)! For the Samsung you should be looking £20 max on a 24 month contact, maybe cheaper due to the galaxy s3 coming shortly.

No idea about the blueberry.

the main reason i went ahead as i was with tmobile and mrs was with vodafone, tmobile wanted to transfer me to a different department to see if they could do a deal with the new line etc. where as vodafone kept it all in the retentions department, both lines done.

i also got first month free on the galaxy 2

also, i go well over 500mins so thats not enough

I'm with t mobile and after my contact was up I called them to see if they could match a great offer on the s2 from Tesco. They couldn't I asked for my PAC code. 2 days later I got a call offering me the phone at a discounted rate for loyalty. Try it, they can surprise you.

Also, if your Mrs has an Android/windows/iPhone then get her to download "what's app" for free text messaging and media. If she's nearing the end of her contact then get her on t mobile for free calls.

i did this got my pac code from tmobile. they said once you have refused the offer i have given you thats it etc etc. (900mins, unlimited data, unlimted txs, iphone 4s 1gb, 08 numbers inc in plan 36pm)

i know they were lying, but the company had kinda pissed me off really, and i couldnt then transfer my mrs line over in the same call.

not a big fan of tmobiles customer service

looking at the plans, the nearest one at (on voda) 26quid has 300mins, 500mb data, 50quid for the phone - im getting mine for that price, but loads more

Yes it is 25, but you need to do redemption to get 5 months free. If you join top cash back or quidCo and go to the deal through their website then they'll give you cash back after a few months.

At £27 per month that is £648+20%vat=£777.60 per contract.

On Tesco mobile you pay £380 for the phone and 12 months at £20 = £620
Youll get 500 mins 5000 texts 500mb internet and cap it so you never ever go over the £20 per month.
But also if you get the vouchers where you can double your money you will get some thing off the price of the handset.

I personally wanted an iPhone 4S an got it for £135 on a 12 month contract at £30p/m and capped with 900mins, 5000txts and 2gb internet plus some other bits which set me back £500 per year.

the 27 is inc vat.

and i need more than 500minutes, i always use above 500, sometimes above 800.

im happy for suggestions and il swap during my cooling off period, but no1 has shown me a fair comparison?

also im not prepared to pay a large sum for the phone. id rather take the "free" credit.
