right i really cant decide what to go for so i want choices and opinions of other people. right, iv got 2 18" ground zero plutoniums powered by 2 hifonics colossus amps giving them 6400rms with no voltage drop.
so, what would you spend £2000 or less on to get 10,000 rms or as near to??? im not looking to have 1 amp per coil. i want 2 big amps that do over 4500 rms at 2 ohm or 1 big amp that does roundabout 9000rms or more.

2 of my choices are:


Ground Zero Plutonium GZPA1.10000SPL-HC

i really like this amp and it would be nice having the same make amp as my subs. i think this is a very safe option were ill be happy with what iv got.


B2 M1 MKII | 10,000w Mono Block

which is £1500 and does 9,900 rms but aint tried and tested over here in big street bassers and if i didnt like it, it wouldnt hav any decent sell on value.



what would any ov you lot buy????

Puts my 2 atomic apxx's through their paces! Seems a good solid amp.

What box have you got them in Yogi?

10k seems a lot for a daily basser and you 'could' get better results with a different box design.

No voltage drop? from 14v or no drop from 12v?

14 cube box for both. tuned to 31hz and they eat all ov 6400rms no problem. if i have no voltage drop at 14.7volt unless i clip the crap out ov it then iv got enough room for more power. it hits over 152db all sealed up on near enough all music and over 155db with a door open so it is very loud with 6400rms but i just think im wasting a good electrical system sticking with 6400rms. the box is 15 inches or more away from the back ov the front seats aswell so theres more pressure in the cabin to be gained when i do rebuild it but for now i want to see the gain from more power.

really just want to know what amp/amps people would spend their money on to giv me options and opinions!!!!!

Personally, stick with what you have and rebuild the box. Then test more power.

Ground zero have a good rep i guess they are worth a not sure about b2 audio so can't comment on them, if it were my money i would get 4 spld 3500d's and strap them as pairs so you dont have to run 1 amp per coil, 3.2krms each and recent test's show they are actually underrated not sure what coil config you have tho but potentiality you would have 12.8k+, multiple smaller amps tend to be more reliable and easier to sell on after. just a suggestion.

do you have a build log for this yogi bear, i would try something different B2 audio are doing some good numbers.

thats really hit the nail on the head!!! even on propper droppers i hit a peak ov 155.6 even with the wall 15" away so the box is deffo spot on. iv litterally done evrything i can in the last 2 n a half years except more power so thats what i want to do now. iv got no build log but i might do one when i rebuild later in the year to bring the box forward so its right behind the front seats.

DC 12k or 9k, i just bought 2 DC 5ks and cannot rate them highly enough.

So, 2 amps at 2ohm or 1 beast at 1ohm.

There are some 5k Auna's on ebay for about £70 if that helps? 6 channels so you could have loads more 18's

I seen lot of GZ 10k's and they all died.

Same problem with cactus 7k atomic 7k.

board is weak and breaks down because of board flex.

I would go for 4 smaller amps or 2 bigger amps.

Please look at the power at 12v all the time and keep the impedance rise in mind, some amps only doing big power om 1 ohm and 14,4v if you go to a real world situation like 12v and 2 ohm after rise(if you start at 1 ohm) a lot of amps are doing pretty bad power.

one was clamped doing that much?????? does anybody know the rated rms at 14.4volts? are they even out yet?
id prefer brand new amp/amps really. really like the look of the sundowns but would need it to do near 10k at 1ohm or id prefer 2 that would do around 5k at 2ohm.

How much money you prepared to lose come resale time?

£2k amp will be worth £1k s/h or maybe £800-600 if you get desparate and there is no takers, I know of a 6kw GZ amp going for £600 with no takers and been for sale months.

4 3500's will cost you £2k but still be worth £350 each s/h any day of the week purely as 3.5k is enough for most people and tend to sell quick s/h:

You can lose 1k or more or lose £600 tops and recover your cash back pretty quick.
