Another BOOMING - "BIG BASS MEET" Posted Image

Many thanks to all that turned up - gave pd a go - pushed the car boots - helped out or just appreciated the crazy bass installs that filled up our SPL area. Posted Image

We had 4x bass ladies Posted Image take part Posted Image Well done to you all. Charlottes 2x 10" install is the nuts! Nice and loud with just 2x 10"s ...and she built it all (including the box)herself Posted Image

Some newcomers (I think, I tend to loose track of everyone Posted Image )

Good to see the BOOMING KIA back in action, and what a nice set of scores running with just the batteries and one amp Posted Image

The DC Golf is one to look out for, crazy loud scores coming from this beast of an install Posted Image

Good to see people getting Louder.
I`m sure Ashley gained a little bit on his peak SPL with his single 18" Ascendant Audio install.
Another Ashley who has now gone from boot to walled to NO-Wall broke the 140dB barrier for the 1st time - Well done, keep on going mate Posted Image BTW Ditch the Hifonics and get some more tremors and use a common enclosure for all 6x tremor subs when you eventually get them Posted Image.
Alex (cinquecento) managed to squeeze 152.9dB out of the little beast. Posted Image
I don`t think Richard VXincar hasn`t had a 1st place win, this year, yet Posted Image Although his team mates are doing well, check out the low wattage used to create some rather loud boot installs Posted Image Posted Image

The generator packed up again so I`m getting a newer more powerfull one.

Again MANY THANKS to ZANGIEF!! who`s van ran the whole pd set up for the whole evening Posted Image

my peak was down from last time, here are the scores i got at mod nats
Peak = 148.7dB @ 33Hz
40Hz = 146.5dB
33Hz = 148.7dB
25Hz = 146.2dB
20Hz = 140.4dB

here are the scores from last night
Peak = 148.1dB @ 35Hz
40Hz = 147.0dB
33Hz = 148.0dB

20Hz = 141.0dB
this time i tryed open windows and putting sensor on driver side which did gain me some db
iv gained on my 20hz and 40hz which is really good, peak is down but i think its the surface we are on at pure carma because when im there my peak is 35hz not 33hz which is what it was on grass

the softer the ground is the lower your peak will be. on concrete your peak would probably be 34Hz. something to do with how far the wave goes into the ground before reflecting or something like that :whatever:

my scores actually improved on the softer surface. up 0.3 on the average :D

Wicked mate what amps? Id ditch the hifonics tbh mate mate, you could do the same scores with just the earthquakes and more power.... Better amps and ditch the hifonics and your earthquakes will sing mate trust me dual sub build dont work all that well as they have to have differnet amps to run them etc as not all the subs will take the same power.

your looking at a lot of money for a dual alt setup. how much power will you be running? i doubt you will need dual alts, maybe just a 180/210 with ajustable regulator. thats what i had fitted, voltage holds up a lot better, but it aint a cheap thing to have done!

i had 2000wrms but i want 4000wrms running through them and each chamber (2 subs per chamber as there diffrent subs) has just over 5cuf but they need 4 cuf each to get the maximum out of them so im thinking about turning it into a wall as i can get the rite size in a no wall :( and its single 18mm mdf but i have 36mmx72mm bracing through out the box, i used 8 8foot lengths of it :D but i was demoing it to sum1 working in burgerking drivethrough and !of my amps packed up and then they all stoped but the two that still work only work when i disconnected the phono leads going to the faulty amp any sudjestions why???

So if its two subs per chamber are the individual boxes ported on just one of them ported? Yeah id go for a wall mate,even if they only needed 3.5cuft each thats a 21cuft thats without allowing for port and sub displacement thats the size box you should have now for them 6 15's mate. So if you had 4 of the earthquakes 15's say 4cuft per 15 then plus sub and port so i reckon a 20cuft wall mate depending on how long the port needs to be.... And with 4k that will wang mate, try tuning to 29/30 mate for pd if had good even results across the board with that tuning mate, stick them in a wall or a no wall box all in the same chamber make sure the port gives an even load to each of the subs though mate. Double baffle next time especially if its a wall maybe even tripple 18mm mdf mate.
