does £200 sound reasonable? the hu has only been owned by myself and was tested recently and found to be working fine.

bung some pics up, older headunits arn't worth what they used to be though.
Triple point

The triple point of a substance is the temperature and pressure at which three phases (for example, gas, liquid, and solid) of that substance coexist

For example the temperature and pressure of my arse during a bad fart after a good curry!

I bought one of these about 2 years ago for £150, and sold it on a year after for the same price, when I got a P99RS instead.

Its a very good alternative to a P88RS/RS2, basically the same unit only with 13 instead of 16 band eq, and no MP3 playback, but with Pioneers Legato Link DA converters for a smooth and "analogue" sound, which the newer models are missing.

Used to have one when they first came out, cost around £1000 back then, however it is 13 years old now and spare parts like lasers and such are expensive... Id say somewhere between 100-150 is a fair price.

Cracking HU, I have two of them siting here.

Haven't seen any come up for grabs for a while though. Not fully working anyway.

Faulty ones seem to fetch around the £50 mark for just the HU and facia on the bay of E.

The main concern with these (IMO) is the brightness of the display, as they grow quite dull with age and become very hard to read in daylight.

Just as a rough guide, I have one mint and boxed example with all leads, both remotes, EQ mike, manuals etc that I've fitted a new backlight in, and another I'd consider a spares unit that has a faulty CD loading mech, is missing the facia trim surround BUT has the all important BIG remote. Again, display backlight has been replaced in this facia too, although it has some wear to the buttons like your example. If I was to sell them, I'd put them up for sale as a pair looking for around the £200 mark and see what happens.

So I'd say £150 for a good condition/boxed example with all the bits would be a fair price, your's, minus the box and a few smaller bits, £100 on a bad day, £130 on a good one.

Incidentally, if your looking to sell it because you think it's outdated, you do know the P99R is compatable with both the IB100 ipod adapter AND the USB equivalent that Pioneer make (can't remember the model number right now), don't you?

Do you still have this?
where in Surrey are you?
I have the DEH-P945R which is the same / similar unit but with the built in Amp.
Would be interested to buy this off you to see what the sound difference is.

By the way; did you manage to find out about the ipod connectivity?
Having an audio equipment clear out is the most painfull experience ever!

Is this true? How does this work then please? I have a P99R and i'm not using at the moment because of my Ipod. Does it enable full control via HU or does your ipod need to be in view to select songs etc?
Thanks

One of your earlier posts state it had been tested but I suppose that was a few months ago. How much are you looking for?

Posts such as this, 'So I'd say £150 for a good condition/boxed example with all the bits would be a fair price.'

Does yours match this?

Let me know when it's tested.

Cheers,
Al
